Has anyone ever successfully changed the color of the backlight on their gauges? I notice mine has clear bulbs but lights up green. I'm so tired of 80's japanese green. My old toyotas are the same color and I always change them.
thanks
Eric

that's what I was thinking about. but how does that get rid of the green? The bulbs aren't green, they are clear normally. but the guage faces light up green anwyay.

They are all painted with a very light colored flat green inside that reflects the white.

Not at all. The green filter in the face isn't pure green and isn't very strong. Blue shines through easily. I haven't tried red, but I believe it would shine through fine, perhaps not as brightly. The only color you definitely can't make them without some kind of modification is white (for that you'd need a new faces that aren't printed on green plastic)
