heated jacket

I have a gerbing heated jacket that I used on my gold wing. It draws about 6.4 amps or 77 wants. Is the charging system on my 1978 kz750 twin capable of handling this while on the road?
Thanks. Jerry

Not sure if my charging system would support it. Nice idea tho.

Hmmm.... mine is a three phase but quite possibly the same as my KZ1000.... maybe around +10amps flat out.
Turn your headlight on bright and the taillight on and there goes half of it...
So.... just under 7 amps will probably kill the battery with the headlight on.

Not positive on the KZ750, but I've used Gerbings on a KZ1000, and KZ650 and never had any problems.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
