All Dyna ignitions come with instructions, available on their website - start there and set it up.

Thank you LA
I got the information and it still does not work. I called Jeff @ z1 and still had not luck. Put the old one back in to make sure the bike is ok it fired right up but they are old. So back to the brginning.

I'm not sure what bike we're talking about (late 650 or 750 four?), but from what I understand you're installing the DS2-2 instead of a factory electronic ignition, right?
In that case you don't need the original ignitor anymore and can disregard the original wiring (the black, blue, yellow and red are the original connections between the pulsar coils and the ignitor).
The red wire on the DS2-2 is power for the pickup coils - the red wire should connect to a switched 12V source - that is, no power on the red wire with ignition key/kill switch in off position. In the installation instructions Dynatek suggest tapping into the red/yellow wire supplying 12V to the coil primarys, but any switched 12V source will do.
The white (with black band) and black (with green band ) are the trigger wires and connect directly to each ignition coil primary opposite the red/yellow 12V supply - not sure of the colors (on my DS2-2 the black and green markings were mixed up when I got it), but whatever color the wire from the left (rear) pickup should connect to the coil firing 1/4 and the wire from the right (front) pickup should connect to the coil firing 2/3.

When my Dyna 2000 started working intermittently after it was 3 yrs. old & well beyond the warranty , they told me it sounded like there might be something wrong with the box & to send it to them so they could check it, they called back & said the box became defective & that my warranty had lapsed 2 yrs. ago, but they would sell me a new one for 1/2 price, I agreed, that was about 8 yrs. ago & haven't had any problems since then
