Quick KZ400 Battery Question

I am about to replace the battery on my 78 kz400 and I can't find it in the manual, what are the volt/amp requirements for my starter motor? Thanks,

It would be the same # as your old battery
what model KZ 400 do you have,,A, C, D, ??
look at your old battery for a # like, 12N5-5-4a

Yuasa 12N 12A-4A-1 (12V 12 AH).

I've always been an advocate for using the biggest battery you can fit. Your CCA or reserve capacity can't be too high - you'll just be paying a little more for it. The way I see it, after a few years and the battery starts getting a bit tired, a bigger battery will still be cranking fine.

I use a 220CCA lithium in my KZ250.
