My title says 1980 kz1000 which kinda assuming police bike? Is this correct.. I'm trying to track down some service information but the bike may or may not have been put together with other bikes. As some of u may know I'm having drivability issues including center 2 cyls quitting. Just figured I'd go thru and check some things before I get too stressed out.... is there any wires under the headlight area I should check? There are so many things I suppose causing issues I want to go thru and check all the electrical first.

It's not a police bike, it looks like a 1980 KZ 1000 MK II
if you post your engine & frame # s here, some one can look them up & tell you what you have, so you can get the proper Kawasaki service manual for your year & model bike,

It's a Kz1000E Shaft. No wiring in the headlight area should affect the #2&3 running disorder.

A loose power wire to a coil can. Thats usually under the tank. A lot of models have a single power lead with a dual bullet female connector. A power wire from each coil plugs into it.
