We're can I get new timing advance springs? Should I cut one loop off of each of the loose springs?

You can't get new ones, and don't cut any loops off. That will alter the rate way too much.
All it needs is a tiny preload correction. Look at the ends of the springs. They are loop-shaped hooks. All you have to do is take a needle-nose and squeeze the loop a little tighter. Normally, if the spring was not mangled some way, it just needs a tiny bit. Only do one end of one spring first. It's real easy to do too much and have to back it off.
