Well thanks to kaw-a-holic I have my LED running lights and turn signals. I notice the difference right away. My volt meter hardly moves when I turn them on and the turn signals going off and on the needle barely moves. I'm above 12v now when before with everything on and the bike not riunning I'd be at 10v. I still have 4ohm coils and a Halogen head light plus a standard tail light bulb. At idle it climbs to 13 and 14.5v above 2500 RPM with everything on. I still have a red LED strip in back on my top box for the break light too. :woohoo:
Thanks Jon.

Good job Steve. Looks like you now have me thinking of going LED's. I have noticed that the conventional lights put quite a power draw on the electrical system. Anytime i'm wrenching and I test my turn signals without the bike running, the flasher is cycling very slowly. Forget about it if your headlight is on as well. Everything is dim. I've also noticed that while cruising and I have a turn signal on and, the brake light on at the same time, you can see my neutral light fluctuate. I can see new lighting coming soon!

You won't regret it. The battery has to deal with the load. My last battery only lasted a year with all my lights.

My pleasure Steve, just glad it worked. Was it plug and play?
LEDs are the way to go. I have went all LEDs on my bike including a DOT approved LED head light. They are super bright and a lot less draw.

I had to make a pig tail for the ground. Plugged it in and it works. BIG difference.
Thanks
