Need new headlight

Hello all, my headlight burned out, it is a 7in bulb, I noticed at Walmart they actually sell a round 7in automotive bulb, it's only like $8,the prongs on the back for the harness are identical, will this work? It would be nice to be able to put one on right away, I don't know about other states but here in WI you must have your motorcycle lights on always day or night! Thanks. Oh by the way it's a Sylvania bulb, not sure of the part number.

It will work but you might buy a better one, a H4 or something being it's a hassle to change.

Here's a direct replacement, and they work well. They are halogen lamps, and they last longer than the Sylvania headlamps (guess how I know :laugh: ) Ed

I found a 7in lense basically, looks just like mine but you can install an H4 bulb, I was thinking of getting that and buying an hid kit. I don't know if that might be to bright without the proper cut off.
