hazard button

hello people; I don't know if all KZ models have one but I do on my K1. How did it work as mine is broken and it's not wired to anything. I guess there was a spring in there to keep it in the out position and when pressed it made a contact to work. Just guessing.
I started getting ride of wiring I don't want. So far the blink light, neutral light, oil light are gone and that brought me to the hazard button.

I think they were standard on most Kawasakis sold in America in the 80s . Which one do you have?

The next thing you'll tell us is you've replaced the ignition switch with a toggle switch. Where do you live?
Just kidding.
Wow

hello people; I'm no purist when it comes to my project and a toggle switch could work for me. My project is a non stock deal so a slow death is not it it's just better IMO in my case. This harness I've been cutting up is from a model with a IC igniter iggy and my engine is a 77 K1.
For you into Z1's go to a site called MC wiring 101 and in it it shows alot of different bikes but there's a
real nice 73 that will make you drool.
I'm understanding the harness more now and I feel better about dealing with it.
I live in Mass.
