What year is the bike? Often times you can find the original wiring diagrams on google just by searching. Obviously this makes doing any kind of shop work difficult without an actual reference image, but you can always print screen. I found a wiring diagram for my bike online and it was pretty easy. Heres the one for a 1982 KZ 250. Yours should look pretty similar.
