ignition coil/spark plug set-up help

Greetings KZriders, I am an aspiring KZrider. I have a 1980 kz750E i have been trying to get running for over a year. I recently go to the point where I can try to fire it up. After many attempts I wonder if I have the spark plug wires plugged into the correct location on the IC. I think this may be the case because it will fire once occasionally but no consecutive firing. I have looked in my Kawasaki manual, and my clymer manual and I cant find this bit of info. It may be something else, but this is an easy fix to start with. I have compression. I guess there is fuel because of the firing, but I don't know about spark. Any help with spark order would be greatly appreciated.

I think the 750E is the same as my 81 650-CSR. 1-2-3-4 L-to-R sitting on the bike.
1-4 spark plug wires -->> right side coil -->> black & red wires from the igniter
2-3 spark plug wires -->> left side coil -->> green & red wires from the igniter
The stock coils may have (+) & (-) embossed into them. Red = (+) & Green/Black = (-)

Here's a wiring diagram that should help.

You can try swapping the green and black wires to the coils, and see if she'll start that way.
If the lobe on the mechanical advancer has been installed wrong, it could be 180 degrees off.
Swapping the green and black coil wires will confirm this.
If she still doesn't start, switch the wires back.
