..after changing starter solenoid , >had starter motor wire connected on same post as positive battery..would try and turn over as i put ground connect on battery...now i get nothing with everything in place..nothing no light no click,click of solenoid..not a damn thing ..help...

check your fuses first.

1980 Gpz550 D1, 1981 GPz550 D1. 1982 GPz750R1. 1983 z1000R R2. all four aces

Also check the ground wire from the battery to the frame or motor , wherever it's connected to, be sure it's rust & corrosion free, & that it is tight
