Correct spark plug 1976 KZ750B
24 Nov 2014 06:58
So, at the beginning of the original service manual in the specification section, it calls for a B6ES spark plug, but in another section on page 181 where it explains why plugs are hot and cold, it calls for a B8ES for normal riding. What s the right plug for this bike? I use pod filters and a 2into1 pipe if that makes any difference. Thanks

A B6ES is a fairly hot plug, and a B7ES is a little colder. You'll need to check the sparkplugs to determine what the engine needs for proper combustion. And the Ethanol in todays gasoline, makes it hard to determine that.

24 Nov 2014 12:55 - 24 Nov 2014 13:06I think the B6ES is the correct plug for "combined" riding (city stop and go and expressway). If you ride only on the freeway, I think B7ES might be better but B6ES is definitely the plug specified in the FSM for the 750 twin for general usage. I have always run B6ES (35 years).Steve AZ wrote: So, at the beginning of the original service manual in the specification section, it calls for a B6ES spark plug, but in another section on page 181 where it explains why plugs are hot and cold, it calls for a B8ES for normal riding.
