Well, after switching over to a replacement Wagner headlamp I now have a new problem (may be the only remaining problem I have to chase this season).
Installed and working correctly. At higher rev (4000 range), the high-beam indicator bulb will glow, but not go on. And the light will flicker, dim and then go back to normal.
I pulled the headlight out of the socket (still connected) and fired up the engine. Problem went away. Placed and screwed in the headlamp and it comes back. Has to be some sort of ground interference when the wires are pushed back by the headlamp. I went through and cleaned / reattached all the connections and the 2 side grounds. Still a problem.
(previously noticed a plastic 12? pin connector underneath the left side of the tank to be actually falling apart)
What are all the unused wires in the assembly for? I noted at least 3-4 single wires and a 4-6 pin connector.
Any suggestions on where to start is appreciated.
