i know this is wrong wiring was created by hollywood86
hay guys so finally had time to really look through my wiring. thanx to the reading ive been doing ion this site i noticed my regulator rectifier has a green and red wire coming from it aside from 3 white(78 kz650 D) and noticed this . i guess the PO ran out of red wiring and ran a black wire from it and forgot about it and connected both green and red wires together to ground. if im not mistaken red is normally power? should i leave the green on ground and connect red to power?

Depends.
If it's from a Honda, the black is likely switched hot. Red would be output to battery. Green ground.
If it's aftermarket for a Kaw, the red would still be output to battery, but green is usually positive output to the field coil (which your bike does not have, so it would be the wrong type regulator) and black is ground.
Do you feel lucky?
