I have 1980 KZ750 four if your looking at the coil pack from the side which wire goes on top conector red or black and does it matter same with can either of the two pair of wires go on either coil just like to know wire diagrams so plain...if they aren't interchangeable how would I go about finding which wires goto what coil pack thank ya much

I don't think it matters which way a coils primary is hooked up. As for which set of wire goes to which coil. Hook em up and try to start it up. If it don't, swap wires to coils. Hopefully one with more experience will pipe up.

The750-4 manual doesn't seem to indicate polarity. You could examine yours to see if they are marked. The stock coils of my 81 650-CSR are embossed w pos (+) & neg (-) symbols and the manual indicates what wires go where (red to pos & black or green to neg).
KZ650-CSR & KZ750-4.
Right side coil = #1 & #4 = red/black igniter leads
Left side coil = #2 & #3 = red/green igniter leads
KZ650-CSR & KZ750-4.
Right side coil = #1 & #4 = red/black igniter leads
Left side coil = #2 & #3 = red/green igniter leads
