For those of you who have played with the microsquirt controller, have any of you had success with using the dual spark output control to run the ignition timing? I am reading the documentation and it states that you can use the Tach inputs coming from the distributor for the timing inputs. Can you use the input signals coming from the electronic ignition on the newer KZ's for the tach inputs like they are stating?

Yes you can use the electronic ignition pickups, that's the standard way.
But, if your MicroSquirt is a recent one, you can't drive coils directly from the MicroSquirt because coils draw to many amps. You'll need a couple of ignition drivers, like these:
Diyautotune sells them, and they are very helpful.
