Is this the CDI?

If yes what would be the part name in the manuel? just trying to figure out my eletrical plan (i have no idea about eletrics)

What bike? It appears to be either a fuel check switch, outage indicator switch, or brake light failure indicator switch, etc. It should be listed in the Chassis Electrical Equip parts diagram & on the wiring diagram.

My 81 650 has a switch similar to the one in your photo: it functions to turn on the low fuel warning light & it also serves as the brake light failure switch. Mine has a black-yellow wire, green-white wire, & a yellow wire.

Like Martin said, that is a brake light failure flasher on a KZ440.

1981 KZ550 D1 gpz.
