KZ750G (twin) blinkiing brake indicator light

Presently resurrecting a 1980 Kz750G.

Good progress electrically but when key is on the brake light dash light blinks continuously. brake light bulb is fine.

Suggestions anyone.

some possibilities:

the brake light sensor unit is bad

the brake light bulb is LED type so the impedance is too high and the sensor sees it as an open filament.

open circuit in connector or wire to the bulb

Some more possibilities
corrosion in the tail light socket & or bulb
corrosion in the wire fittings from front brake master to front brake sensor
bulb might look O K but could be bad
corrosion in tail light wire connectors to harness

Does the brake light work while the dash light is blinking?

The blinking dash light is supposed to be warning that the brake light is inoperable (for whatever reason).
