Rebuild or buy new starter???

I have a 1982 Kawasaki kz440. I removed the starter to find a Mitsuba sm-2 12v .45kw unit. I have been unable to find a rebuild kit or a suitable replacement for it. The brushes are shot and will need replaced. Does anyone know where I can locate a rebuild kit or purchase the correct replacement?
