I put a maintenance free battery in my GPZ750 and was wondering if anyone knew how to shut off the annoying light in the dash panel ?

Put positive power to the sensor wire. Problem solved.

Yes.
It should be a pink wire near the battery with a vent plug and electrode on it. Just connect the pink wire to the positive terminal of the battery.

what battery did you get for your bike? i just replaced mine with a diehard. i wanted a maintenance free battery but could find one

I had just bought a maintenance free one for my GS1100 and wrote this before I went down to get one for the GPZ. When I went today they didn't show one so I had to buy a regular one. Thanks to the rest of you for the answer to my problem
