Custom Speedo/Tach eliminator w/ Cellphone bracket was created by zsmith
I am designing a bracket that I will send out to have custom made. This will remove stock speedo and tach and rewire the right handle controls to the center "console".
Hoping that I can get several people in on this purchase to drop price down. Would like to get ordered by the end of the month with a two week lead time. please let me know if your interested. Price to be somewhere around $60/each for 5 and $50/each for 10.
goals:
-main bracket made out of stainless painted black
-Ram mount for Iphone
-amber LH and RH LED indicator
-white/green neutral LED indicator
-RED oil pressure LED indicator
-ignition moved in a clean location.
-2 rocker switches
-1 for engine run/kill
-1 for accessories
-1 push button for garage door opener
-1 push button for ignition start
-all new handle bar bolts (stainless socket head w/ stainless washers)
-top surface to have labels for all items possibly a kaw decal too add some "flare"
-wiring clean and loomed
-mount to 4 bolts on handle bar clamps
model is ROUGH right now i will add more photos to give a better idea of what this will look like when all said and done.
I will also be replacing the stock handlebar with drag bars powdered black and new left hand controls, mirrors, grips, and handles. (if interested in that set up i can check on dragbar prices in multiples as well.)
i placed this in paint and bodywork and then realized this would be better in this forum.

You may want to reconsider the kill switch location. I may be wrong, it wouldn't be the first time, but if a bike's throttle was to stick wide open things would happen very quickly. Would a rider have the time, control, and presence of mind to reach down to the bracket and hit the correct switch to kill the engine rather than just thumbing the switch that is located right next to his hand on the throttle? If so, he may as well just turn the key to stop the engine. If not, ouch! Ed

Thats an awesome idea man, but i would reconsider the kill switch as well.
makes me want to just make one at work and see how it works out for my current bobber project

Sorry this will be on a 1980 kz1000
Might wire in two switches for them being and leave kill switch on handle for time being.
