So i want to upgrade my relay and fuse box on my 83 kz650 to something newer and more reliable

Does anyone know of any good aftermarket solutions of this? Everything i look at is made for big twin motors cant find anything for a small 4 so any input is great

Thanks

For the turn signal relay you can use a Tridon/Stant 552 2 prong. It is a direct replacement (same size & shape as original) but it is electronic so it flashes much more consistently that the original. I found the original unit flashed at different speeds depending on the state of charge of the battery and the engine rpm. It MIGHT also work for the hazard flashers, but you would need to test it to confirm. Ed

It has 3 fuses & appears to be the same size, so it will probably work.
It may not be a direct plug-n-play, so you'll probably just have to do some simple wiring connections.

well i dont need it to be a direct fit as far as size is conserned, its all going to be tucked away into an electronics box anyways

Autozone carries a few fuse panels you may be able to fit one.

i found a 4 fuse panel on ebay that i think might work with a little rewiring, i plan on making a new mouting bracket for all these components as well, prolly gona use 3 inch pipe and just end cap it making it look like an oil tank por something to hide all the electronics in, just gota do some more reasearch to make sure that nothing in there needs to be air cooled so i dont have any insidents lol.
