First post, first bike.
The bike is a 1976 kz400s2 (except it has a center stand which from what I've read was discontinued in 76?)
The engine is a 1976 kz400 as far as I can tell, but it has a starter on it, although not hooked up.
When I purchased the bike last week it was running great but had no turn signals, tail light, horn or hand brake actuated brake light. I decided to fix the electrical issues.
Upon inspection it was decided by my biking buddy that the harness was too butchered to proceed. I purchased a 1975d2 parts bike with a good harness, turn signals and the correct tail light.
Got the "new" harness installed and realized it's got one additional 4 pin under the seat area.
My question is, is it acceptable to just add circuits/wires as needed? Should I find a 1976 s2 harness?
Is there someplace the reproduces the harness in its entirety?
Thanks,
