dyna shift minder

has anyone hooked up a dyna shift minder DSM-4H, I have power to the light but cannot get it to flash at the desired rpm setting.I ran the green wire to the positive side of each coil, black to ground and red to 12v switched.Wondering if I have the green wire correct..

How does it sense the RPM? The positive side of the coils is always near 12v.

I think you want to connect the green wire to the negative side of the coils.

You wire it just like an elect. tach.
1980 KZ650 F1
ZX750A1 motor.

APE cylinder stud's and nut's.
APE valve spring's.
APE Track King clutch.
V/H KZ1000 sidewinder.
3.5x18 laced to a KZ1000 disk hub.
150/60/18 Shinko 006 Podium.
63" wheel base.
