Wire going nowhere

There is a Orange/Green wire going from left hand side this red button going nowhere (it is cut). Where it should be connected? And what does this red button do?

Helps if you mention what bike, but more than likely it goes to the hazzards

It's '83 KZ750 four. Ant where exactly it should be connected to I couldn't find it in diagram.
