Okay, I give up on how to get the knob off. 1981 750E2. Tried pulling straight out but doesn't want to budge. The metal housing is corroded and the glass is cloudy. Really want to get this thing apart for a good clean up.
BTW, I spent at least half an hour searching for an answer but couldn't find any info pertinent info.
