Try searching KZR for capacitor. I think you'll need an on/off switch for the headlight when starting the bike.

Since your bike has a permanent magnet alternator, it should work without a battery.

Like martin says, however, you will need a capacitor to replace the battery.

look for 5000 microfarad to 10,000 microfarad, 50volt capacitor.
Microfarad might be "MFD", or "uF", or "uFD".

Or you can buy one of those battery eliminators. It's just capacitor.

Then if the regulator has a brown wire coming out of it, connect that brown wire to the red wire of the regulator, (and leave the brown wire on the harness side unconnected and taped up).

Then you will need to be able to switch all of the lights and accessories off while starting.

An efficient ignition system helps too. If you are considering an electronic ignition, try to get a factory one frm a KZ440.

But before you do any of that, tune the bike with a battery and make sure it starts in one or two kicks almost everytime. If it's hard to start. It will only be harder without a battery.

Do you mean the marker lights that are on all the time? The tun signals already have a switch.

The marker lights and tail light, along with the gauge lights will all take away current from the capacitor. It means you will have to kick harder to get it to start if at all, so it would be best to rig a switch to kill all of those lights.

I use a self-holding relay to automatically turn the lights off if the bike stalls. Then you won't be fumbling with switches at an intersection to restart it. I use the starter button to turn the relay on to turn the lights on after it is started.
