1976 KZ900 Hazard Switch Bracket was created by MTH76
I am trying to restore a Hazard switch that I recently bought.
My bike had one on it when I bought it in 1985, so I found this used one.
The problem is that I can't tell what color the bracket should be that holds the switch, I think it might have been an anodized finish.
Any help with this would be a big help.
Thanks

I don't know if it is aluminum, I thought my bracket was black painted steel, but it has been a year since I even looked at that switch! If I find some pics of it, I'll post them up. GregZ may have a switch he can look at as I know he buys lots of extra stock parts. Also Jeff Saunders maybe quite helpful.

They are steel, looked satin to a flat black. I have sold 2 over the years. A white lacquer pencil stick (them ones ya shake) work good for the white lines on the pull switch.

I want to thank everyone for the responses, I thought that it looked anodized.
I never thought of the paint pencil for the white part, when I restored the handle bar switches I used model paint and a tooth pick.
Thanks again.

Just a Quick tip for re-painting. No need to use toothpicks/paint pencils, areas are too small to fill effectively. Ends up looking messy. Just dab small amounts of paint in the feature areas, wipe flat across surface (both ways, ensures a complete fill). Don't swipe too hard or you will wick-up the paint in the areas you want filled. At this point it will be smeared, don't worry! Wait for paint to dry fully. Now "lightly" spray a Sponge (I use Cosmetic Sponges, dense foam, don't fall apart) with carb-cleaner. Wipe Flat while flipping sponge. You end-up with brilliant characters as new. Because they are plastic this procedure can be done quickly without the worry of any paint contamination. I do these for local friends also the switchblocks. Switchblocks same procedure.

Have fun, Clay
