KZ1000st electric shocks

Hi everyone,

I am after some ideas on what to look for on my kz1000st 79 model.. I just rebuilt the bike from the ground up and took it for it first ride yesterday. Half way through the ride it started getting electric shocks through the handle bars under acceleration. Felt like the coil leak was hooked straight up to the handle bars!! Can anyone give me some ideas on what to look for to repair this

I'd pull the tank off, and see if the sparkplug wires are rubbing against the tank, also open up the right handlebar switch pod, looking for broken wires or crumbled solder connections, as these older bikes are showing this tendency.
