KZ550 Spark Plug Question was created by TheDude
I'm replacing my spark plugs and caps soon.
In the owner's manual, the specifications for spark plugs are:
Spark Plugs: NGK D8EA or ND X24ES-U
I plan on buying the NGK spark plugs from z1enterprise
And the NGK caps from Amazon
The specs for the spark plugs are 12mm, but the specs for the caps are 14mm.
Is that a problem, or is the fitting like so so that the caps fit over the spark plugs?

The thread on the plug, where it screws into the head is 12mm
not sure what they mean about the cap.... the cap just snaps over the top ceramic part of the plug.

Thanks for your reply. I got my answer elsewhere...in short I just went and shopped @ Z1Enterprise. Problem solved (they have coils/plugs for my KZ; no searching needed)John T wrote:

Might be easier to get your spark plugs at a auto parts store. I get the same NKG's for my Z1 at Napa which they have on the shelf or can get the next day.
