I've got two wires on each of my coils. both have yellow with red stripe. The right coil has a green and the left has a black. From the diagram posted I can see the yellow/red stripe is power but whats the black and green? Can I chassis ground them for a HOT wire engine test?

Those wires connect to the red and black (IIRC) on your Dyna-S. If you don't have a Dyna-S, they connect to the points in the point cover.

The black and green go the the Dyna S you have installed. They do ultimately ground the coils causing the coils to fire but you have to hook them up to the ignition plate for them to work correctly.
