LI batteries Worth iT?

My battery is getting tired and so I need to decide what type to get. The AGM are good, but filling with acid is a hassle. The Li batteries are attractive (but expensive) but my concern is on reliability. I have read a bunch of posts where they failed very quickly and some where they don't crank well when cold.

Is anybody using the Lis and what brand is best?

Absolutely....thoroughly recommend them.
They are very light and powerful..

Choose a good brand like Shorai and I recommend you buy a balance charger to suit.

Don't knock my turbo lag - it gives your naturally aspirated a chance..

I have four bikes and have Shorai's in two with no issue- especially since I replaced the regulator/rectifiers with the new style units from Z1 Enterprises.

Which regulator?

That was my concern. Li batteries are very critical about charge voltage.

Last battery I bought was a Motobatt AGM made in China of course like all the rest. I've had it coming up on 3yrs now in one of the KZ650s which I actually ride once in a blue moon. It sits for a couple months sometimes, sits in 10 below zero, 100 or more above zero and when I go to start the 650 which is a real joy, the battery will turn the starter every time great for the 2 or 3 minutes it takes to start. I'll say this is the strongest battery I ever had and it's cheap by comparison and life is looking to be good too.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
