First guess - Marginal battery.

Second guess - Marginal coil.

Third guess - bad points or condenser.

It has a new charged battery and its electronic ignition. So that means no .points. i'm getting a spark and primary winding on the ignition coil has correct resistance but the secondary winding has nothing. Then how am I getting a spark?

Follow the procedure in this:

www.mpsracing.com/instructions/Dynatek/DynaS_Testing.pdf

The resistance on the secondary should be MUCH higher than the primary - if the primary is 3 ohms, the secondary should be well over 10K ohms. The table in the PDF is a good indication for Dyna coils, but may vary some with other manufacturers.

Stupid me. When I turned the engine over manually with the false nut, I must have bent the pick up coil out of place with the wrench. I carefully bent it back then had a spark then a running engine. At least it was a cheap fix. Thanks for all the replys
