Anybody Try White LED BA9S for Instrument Lights?

If I have to go through the PITA of changing all the instrument bulbs.... would rather install something that doesn't go dim with age.

Anybody using any of the new white LED drop ins?

Saw lots out there, have no idea which are any good.

I posted this link in your other topic as well - it has LED alternatives - see replies by guitargeek.

I used white LED bulbs in the guages and a green one in the neutral indicator.
I put a blue one in the high beam indicator, it is a little too bright at night.
The guages light up much better at night!!!
Like you said, it is such a pain to get to them you might as well do it now.

Which kind did you use for the colored lights for the center indicators?

The high power ones that put out 25 lumens only come in white.

I was thinking it would be better to use red, green or blue LEDs for the indicators since that is the lens colors used in each case, but the SUPERBRIGHTS that come in colors only put out 7 lumens which is pretty weak.

It has been almost a year since I changed them, I got them off of E-Bay.
Type in BA9S LED bulb, you will find alot of them.

OK. That's the problem, I saw tons of lights on ebay but many people have posted that a lot of them are junk. I wanted to stick with what people have actually used and know they are bright enough to be seen outside.
