It should be a pretty easy "remove and replace" job but I have no idea what bike you have so I can't give you specifics.

I've not worked on that particular bike but from what I've gathered looking at part diagrams: Your bike uses a chain driven starter clutch. You will have to either lean the bike to the right or drain the oil as you will need to remove the left engine cover to access the chain and sprocket that the starter motor drives. You should just be able to disconnect the cables from the battery, remove the chrome starter motor cover, and remove the two bolts holding the starter in after unbolting the large electrical cable. Then it's just a matter of wiggling out the old starter and reversing the order of the steps.
