I have a 1980 KZ650-E I am looking to replace the factory coils and wires.. I have looked at the Accel Universal 4 cyl kit.. I am a little concerned about how much modification would be necessary... I was hoping that someone could recommend something available in the aftermarket that I could fasten to the frame just as the stock coils do...

I run the Accels, and they bolt to the factory bracket, no worries.
There are also the Dyna coils, just watch the terminals on install. Use a nylon spacer on the mounting screw at that end of the coils.

Most riders of these bikes use the green dynas. You can get them from Z1Enterprises.
