Horn mount
29 Aug 2013 14:14
Bought off ebay the horn and mount for my bike. Has the 2 horns and the bracket (looks like a bra actually haha). But, there's no place on the bike to mount it. There's 2 holes on the bracket, and no place on the damn bike that matches up. Says it came off a 82 KZ750. Any pics of how your guys bolts on? (Google images is worthless for nearly everything with these bikes)

On my KZ650-C1 the horn mounts to a brace across the downtubes near the top. The first pic shows horn mounted. In the second pic I removed the fork to show you the brace. Ed

That's an understatement. I've seen it in person and had to wear shades in it's presence even though it was raining.
Will those little arms move in and mount on the brace between the downtubes?

The little arms do not move at all. Theres a nut on the back of each horn and that's it.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationPer kawasaki.com
27003-1057 horn lh
27003-1056 horn rh
If the horns at hand sound off satisfactorily, and the horns are severable from the bracket by removing the nuts, could consider fabbing simple hang arms, for mounting per factory method.
I don't know what the assembly came from.
Good Fortune!

Per FSM page 247, each horn has an adjusting screw whereby it may be tuuned for the best (i.e., loudest) tone.
If an FSM is needed, the following link includes a free download:

Of course, here's another approach. Be sure to watch toward the end; he shows how it's set up on the bike. Ya gotta love motorcyclist ingenuity.
