Hello, kzrider616, and WELCOME to the forum!
The excellent wiring diagram in KZr's FILEBASE shows connections of the wires in question.
Here's a link to the diagram:
Click > www.kzrider.com/filebase/doc_download/293-kz750h1
Or may access the FILEBASE, then navigate 1st to the year, 2nd to the model, and 3rd to the desired topic.

According to the wiring diagram, the black lead goes to the starter lock out switch, either at the clutch lever or the side stand - I am not sure which one it is on that model. But it is one or the other.
There is a red/yellow lead but not a solid yellow lead? The red/yellow lead connects to the black/yellow ground cirucit.

Ant dual-tower ignition coil having primary resistance per FSM specs should suffice.kzrider616 wrote: Ok so i got that figured out now i need to know if i can usemy78 gl1000 coils (tec101-12v), on the kz if i get rid of the resistor?
