I'd like to change it as a previous owner has butchered it, probably while trying to 'fix' the trip meter plus I'd like one that goes to 140 but I don't want to lose the warning lights.
Anyone know of a speedo with the 3 lights that goes to 140?
Thanks in advance.

My bike is registered here in England as a 1981 but I guess the 750 clocks were fitted after a smash.
I definitely need the oil warning light and low fuel is useful but I could do without the lights on warning light if you've any ideas?

I've got cv carbs that I don't think we're standard either, it's definitely a bitsa!
My bike is a CSR that we never got over here. We had the SR that is similar but closer to 'stock'
The 750 clocks have totally different chrome 'pan' backs that I've never seen before. The uk bikes had deeper cone shaped backs that further confuses the issue. And I've just for some NOS backs from New Zealand of all places so I want to stick with them if possible.
Guess I may have to give up on the 140mph idea

You may want to check with these folks about the 140 mph speedo. They may know what is compatible. Ed

For example, in 83 in the states they sold a model called the 750 LTD. More of a laid back model like your CSR. Seems to have round clocks, which is what I suspect you currently have. But I could not find any direct down pictures of the clocks.

I found a few companies over here that offer a similar service but they want upwards of $250
I'll email and see if one could be recalibrated and re-numbered, that would be awesome!

Back in the olden days I bought a new z750, no kick start but a cracking bike and even better than the z650C I had before it.
I always wanted a kz1000ltd that I saw in Cycle magazine but we just couldn't get them over here.
I even wrote to Kawasaki UK but they were no help. Weird that 30-40 years down the line we can get your bikes!
I'd love a 1100 Spectre, another bike we were never offered

I have an '83 H4 (LTD). Still only goes to 85.

Perhaps they realized the limitations of cruiser riders. :ohmy:QNman wrote:

I'm joking, of course.
That is odd; my 83 ZX750 (GPz) goes to 150 and my 83 GS1100E goes to 140.
Do you think someone changed out the speedometer, or it just came that way from the factory?
