81 KZ550 fuel tank cable

Hey everyone
I'm checking all my electricals to find the source of a parasitic draw on my battery. I noticed that a cable coming from the bottom of my fuel tank has a damaged prong. I've been looking online for the part but cant seem to find the cable on any of the parts websites. Can anyone tell me what the cable's function is and where I can find a new one?
Thanks

Should be a low fuel level warning switch assembly, Kawasaki part #27010-0042.

If the plastic connector is what's damaged, the K&L B-40 3-pin terminal connector might work. Z1Enterprises.com has them. Another site has the measurements & it seems to be the same as the one on my 81 650-CSR, but I don't know if the part will mate to the stock connector.
