New electrical connectors the same as stock? was created by martin_csr
No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration1981 KZ650-CSR .... Igniter connectors
Are there any new electrical connectors that match the stock connectors?
Specifically, for the Igniter on the 81 650-CSR. Z1Enterprises, EasternBeaver, & OregonMotorcycleParts, etc have various connectors, but I don't know if they mate to the connectors on the stock wire harness. Thanks.
Here's the Igniter.

Someone at Z1Enterprises said the Kawasaki connectors are proprietary & that their connectors do not match. I found a motorcycle page that lists the measurements of the same connectors, and the ones I need appear to be the same as the stock connectors on my bike, in size & shape. So we shall see.
There were some inexpensive HEI ignition modules on ebbaayy, so I'm going to try making the homemade igniter from the info posted on loudhvx's motorcycle stuff page . My stock igniter is functioning, so I'm not going to cannibalize its connectors which would be the easy thing to do... that is if the new connectors don't match.

Try this guy.

The price list has pictures that may enable you to find the connector you need.

Thanks. I saw those. The stock igniter has two 4-pin connectors - 1 large & 1 small. The red one at VintageConnections et al looks the same as the small one but no one seems to have the larger connector. I thought the K&L B18R was the same, but its locking mechanism is different. Something else I'm not sure about is the wire gauge. The terminal pins for the red connector are 22-18 AWG - I don't know if 18G would be correct for the application? I haven't found the wire gauge size for the K&L terminals, but I'd guess they are the same (22-18 AWG).
