MSD Spark Plug Wires?

Mods if I have put this in the wrong forum, please correct.
Has any put MSD 8.mm Spark Wires on their bike from a V8 set? (I got some on clearance from Autozone.)
If so have you seen any good or bad come from it?

8mm sparkplug wires may not fit standard and after market ignition coils, unless you reduce the insulation size. 7mm fits, but when the insulation is trimmed to fit, you're compromising the chance of water leaking at the repair, or high voltage shorting to ground.

It depends on what you have to do to get ends that fit your coils. With Dyna coils (for example), you need a 7MM end connector and a boot that covers the tower. If you get the kind that "extend" the cable length, you should be able to use the new wires. You may be able to use the 8mm wires straight out of the box with a little pressure on the wires and some "determination".
With the original equipment coils, the "crush" fitting that goes over the wire won't fit an 8mm wire.
There are other coil configurations that make this either impossible or dead-simple. A lot depends on the rest of the circuit. The good news is that the interface to the coils is incredibly simple, so if you can get the right resistance primary coil with the right number of wire towers for your wires, you're all set.

Thanks I will provide feedback on fit after I tacket it.
I was more less looking for the effects for the running of the engine...

They'll make sparks. They're going to be a custom fit, so you need to cut them to length to get them to work, but other than that, they should Just Work(tm).
