Replacing Stator - Help Please

Hey everyone, I'm new to these forums but I was wondering if anyone had any advice about replacing a stator on a 2000 Kawasaki Ninja EX250F. I have everything taken apart but the service manual says I'll need special tools. Is there anyway around that and if not where could I get my hands on these tools?

you need to go to ex250.org it's a 250 ex forum.... you might get an answer here. :dry: I myself own and 2001 ex 500 .... great little bikes B)

and to answer your question if the oem manual states you need special tools (puller ,etc) you can usually order aftermarket...... otherwise you may do more damage....... my .02 :unsure:

Yeah, I've been posting on a few forums. A friend directly me to try this one too. These are the tools it states I need if any one can help, thanks.

if you are talking about the stator itself .....it should unbolt from the cover, easily removed..... the rotor will need a puller...... :pinch:

motion pro more than likely sells the puller...... you can use a strap wrench to hold the rotor if needed..... you will need an impact , electric or air

pullers usually sell for around $25 way cheaper than the kawi tool. :huh:

and which puller you need depends if your rotor is threaded , male (I.d.) or female (o.d.)..... :pinch:

If it's a charging problem, the rotor rarely goes bad , usually the stator, wiring or regulator/rectifier..... :woohoo:
