This isn't on a KZ but you guys are smart so I figured I would start here.

Finishing up my brothers cx500. Had it running just fine, the. Suddenly no start.

Heres the weird information that might help diagnose the problem... When I push the starter button, the headlight turns off!! I don't know what this means, but it might be important.

Could be the starter switch?

Could also be the starter solenoid. Do those just suddenly go out?

Have the battery fully charge, and then take it to be load tested(most motorcycle shops, and some auto parts shops will do it for you).Check the battery cables for corrosion, as all must be clean and tight for maximum current transfer. Check the Negative cable from the battery to the engine mounting bolt too, as most people forget to look at it.

I noticed that www.z1enterprises.com is offering 4 gauge battery cables. These will carry a lot of current vs the stock cables which I think were undersized for the electrical load.
