KZ550 rectifier in KZ750? was created by roysclockgun
I have a 1982 KZ750E on which the rectifier appears to have gone south. My question is, can I "borrow" the rectifier off of my 1982 KZ550 LTD to see if the 750 will work and properly charge the battery using the rectifier off of the 550?
TIA

I just took a quick look at kawasaki.com , owner info, parts diagrams etc and it looks like the regulator rectifier on the 1982 750 is the same part # as 2 of the 1982 550s

To keep costs down, Kawasaki, like other manufacturers, has some interchangeable parts.
