not charging

Well I took the bike out yesterday for a ride to see how she ran. put about 130 miles on it and went into one of my fav watering holes and when I came out it was dead. So called my buddy up and took it home. Battery is charging and I got ahead of things and started taking the tray and parts off to clean things up. I will have a factory service manual tues and should have waited to figure things out once the battery had a full charge. found a couple of things wrong right away when i pulled tape off the pos battery leed. and the are some wires that are not connected to anything. will post some pictures

One reason it isnt

I have a couple extra stators laying around from my gpz1100 and its the same part number Kawasaki 21003-1040 STATOR SO I just need a new gasket. Might be one somewhere in the garage.
