Dyna DRL400 rev limiter question

I have a old style DRL400 two stage rev limiter. It says i can't use it with CDI ignition. I have a Dyna ignition on the bike. Is this still considered CDI? Anyone use it with CDI? Thanks

CDI=Mag,you can use it with the dyna.

The Dyna S and the Dyna III are NOT CDI. They are transistorized Kettering ignitions.
