Picked up a 82 KZ1000 in running condition but the wiring for the turn signals was removed. I need to add turn signals to make it road worthy. I'll be using LED lights.

The handlebar switch is there with the wiring but the harness wiring was cut off.

How would I add a separate turn signal circuit??

Here's the Kawasaki factory shop manual, it's got the wiring diagram, so installing new turn signal wiring should not be difficult:

My 82 KZ1000 (CSR) didn't have front turn signals or a headlight when I bought it. The front turn signal wires had been snipped, but were still connected through the wiring harness. I just connected new wires from where they had been cut to my new LED turn signals. I bought a new relay that was compatible for LED lights and hooked it up too.

Where were your wires cut? Are you able to get to them to attach new wires in order to connect your LED signals?

Wires were cut at the harness, probably easier to just add separate wiring.
