77 electrical run a boost sensor/sender?
30 Apr 2013 22:58
I was keen on a digital boost gauge and which obviously has a sensor. The sensor is 3 wire, power, ground, signal. Think the old 77 electrical is up to the task? There wont be any electrical noise unique to a motorcycle (vs a car) that would inter-fear with the senders signal?
Also thinking the electrical wire to the gauge wont be subject to binding as with the mechanical plastic tube.

Can't see having much of an issue, just route the wiring away from the secondary ignition. Depends on the sensor what the signal voltage will be, but it will be a frequency, HZ, so it could pick up RFI. If your using a Injection system, check that you have No AC voltage in the system. Leak at the rectifier diode will cause that, AC ripple.

Thanks man. No injectors currently but I do have a low pressure fuel pump though.
